...is heaven.
Oh my, bacon wrapped asparagus has got to be the best weekend morning treat, add the soft boiled egg for dipping, and it sends this breakfast right over the top.
I have to tell you all that I'm a bit on a asparagus kick at the moment. I love the stuff. Grilled, roasted, boiled, all of it. I know it might not be the most elegant of kicks considering some of it's fall backs. You know the one's I'm talking about. Yes, asparagus might make your pee smell or the stringy bits will get caught in your teeth, but when you love something as I do these, you can set those slightly unpleasant things aside.

Oh and this down there, just some dill roasted potatoes... which I might need to make again pretty soon.

Divine! i am always willing to overlook the downsides of asparagus- teeth strings and funny smelling pee (tmi?), because they are absolutely divine!

This is sending my pregnancy cravings into overdrive. Looks incredibly delicious.
I just made (and posted photos of) my King's Speck-Wrapped Asparagus for our Oscar menu! Hah. I love the idea of dipping them in a soft-boiled egg, will have to try that next time.
i'm not a fan or runny yolks but they sure make for pretty ppictures :)

I would very much like to be a house-guest of yours one day. Every single food you post looks so damn delicious, I would be living in food heaven, plus I'd get to spend time with such a nice gal ;)

How do you get your potatoes roasted so perfectly? Mine always come out a little rumpled, like they just had a fight. :) Lovely photos, they capture my mood right now perfectly.

Your photos are amazing as always Ash! I must try bacon wrapped asparagus now! Oh and the roasted potatoes look so good too. I love dill, I grew it in my garden for the first time last year.. *sigh* I can't wait until the snow melts away and I can garden again.

That pee smell only lasts for a day, so it's well worth eating as much asparagus as possible :D

I love this idea! Gonna try it soon. I absolutely adore runny yolks and generally eat my breakfast eggs sunny side up, so I think this breakfast adventure will end up very nicely.

Thanks for the gorgeous pics and great food ideas!
